Lemon and pepper are a useful pairing when dinner needs a brighter edge. THE SPICE LAB spicy lemon and pepper seasoning salt combines 7% pepper and 1% dried lemon peel with ginger, coriander and chilli. Its citrus aroma and peppery warmth complement fish, chicken, pork and vegetables.

For fish, chicken and the roasting tray

Season fish before baking or grilling, rub onto chicken, or mix with a little oil for a pork marinade. Try it on roasted vegetables, too. As this is a salt-based blend, use it in place of some of your usual salt rather than adding both automatically.
