The SUMMER SET brings together two versions of the VAY — one of Authentic Blades' most distinctive knives — presented in ready-to-gift packaging. The VAY's curved blade shape is unusual in European kitchens, but immediately intuitive to use: its natural swing makes it ideal for rocking through herbs and spices, much like a mezzaluna, while the wide blade handles leafy vegetables, carrots, pumpkin, cabbage, pizza, and even cake with ease.

The set includes one smaller VAY, well suited for herbs and fine work, and one larger VAY where the weight of the blade does the work for you. Both are available with thin black or thick polished blades. The larger the blade, the less effort required.

Every VAY knife is made entirely by hand by small family blacksmiths in Vietnam using traditional carbon steel forging techniques. No punching, no factory production — each knife is a unique piece with its own character. Minor cosmetic variations are a natural mark of authentic handcraft.
