MASERIN Gladio alato tactical fixed blade

€264,00

The MASERIN Gladio alato tactical fixed blade was created for a specific purpose: to equip the personnel of the 66th Airborne Infantry Regiment Trieste — the only airborne infantry unit in the Italian Army — with a knife that reflects the spirit, symbolism, and operational needs of the unit. The squared blade references the Roman Gladius from which it takes its name. The handle is a classic military tactical dagger profile with a high-grip texture. Every detail has a reason.

N690 steel, DLC coated, HRC59

The blade is N690 stainless steel hardened to HRC59, with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that reduces reflection, increases surface hardness, and improves corrosion resistance in field conditions. At 180 mm length and 5 mm thickness, it is sized for utility and control. The G10 black handle provides a secure grip in wet or cold conditions without adding weight.

Built for emergency use

The glass breaker at the pommel and two additional holes on the guard allow the knife to be attached to other equipment in emergency situations — features added specifically for the tactical nature of airborne infantry operations. The green Kydex sheath with M.O.L.L.E. system attachment is ready for immediate field integration.

Why MASERIN

Coltellerie Maserin has been making professional knives in Maniago, Italy since 1960. The Gladio Alato is a good example of what that means in practice — a knife designed in direct collaboration with a military unit, built to operational specifications, and manufactured to the same standards as their civilian professional range. Italian craftsmanship in service of a real brief.
